Liverpool will look to keep their winning run in the Premier League going when they take on Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday.
The Reds came under the cosh against Brighton in their last game on Saturday, and despite going down to 10 men, they held on to pick up their 13th win of the season.
Although they couldn’t extend their lead at the top after Leicester City won their game as well, both Manchester City and Chelsea lost their matches, which means there is now clear daylight between Jürgen Klopp’s side and the current holders, and Frank Lampard’s side as well.
Everton, meanwhile, are possibly in the worst shape heading into the derby. Their late loss against Leicester City meant they are just two points above the relegation zone.
Heading into the game, Liverpool will be massive favourites, but Klopp’s side have not played at their best despite leading the table, and will look to put in a more accomplished display against their struggling neighbours.

Liverpool will be without Alisson Becker after his silly red card against Brighton earned him a one-match suspension. Fabinho will only return after 4 weeks, so Klopp will be without his best defensive midfielder as well.
The German has a decision to make about the midfield set-up for the derby as well.
Predicted Liverpool Lineup vs Everton
Defence
With Alisson suspended, Adrian is likely to come in for the Brazilian. The Spaniard had a few nervy moments, and will have to step up come Wednesday.
The back four is likely to remain the same with the mercurial duo of Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold featuring as the two full-backs, while Ballon d’Or runner-up Virgil van Dijk, and Dejan Lovren taking their place in the centre-back roles.
Midfield
The derby is likely to be a high-intensity game, and Liverpool’s midfield will need to have the upper hand to completely shut Everton out of the game.
Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson are likely to make the Liverpool lineup, and Klopp could perhaps go with James Milner to complete the three-man midfield.
Attack
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane should reprise their roles as the wide attackers in the Liverpool lineup, while Roberto Firmino will lead the attack in his central role.
Everton’s defence has been pretty awful, and the Liverpool attacking trio will look to take advantage of that, and keep their impeccable form intact.
