Chelsea Could Sign Spanish Midfield Ace For £44million: More Creativity In The Team

Chelsea could sign Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco in the January transfer window, as per reports.

The Spanish midfielder could leave the club as he has found first-team opportunities difficult to come by this season, which has subsequently affected is form.

As per Mirror Football, the Spanish giants could try to get rid of Isco in the winter as they want to bring in Tottenham attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen.

The report states that the Blues could sign Isco for around £44 million. Chelsea’s transfer ban has been overturned and they will be eligible to sign new players in January, with the report suggesting that manager Frank Lampard will be given £150 million to revamp his squad.

Isco has been with Real Madrid since 2013, having joined the club from Malaga. He has been a key part of Madrid’s four Champions League victories in this decade and also won the La Liga with Los Blancos.

The Spaniard’s contract with Madrid expires in 2022, but he could leave the club soon as he has found playing time limited.

Isco – More creative spark for Chelsea?

Isco has been a vital player for Real Madrid over the last few years, with his invention, creativity and versatility helping Madrid to many trophies. But, the Spanish attacking midfielder’s time at Real Madrid is set to come to an end as the club want to bring fresh faces into their squad.

Over at Chelsea, Lampard has done a terrific job in his first year in charge of the club, with the Blues playing quick, attractive football.

However, it’s quite clear that they need a few more additions to their squad if they stand any chance of competing against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.

The Blues would do well with the addition of an experienced, creative player like Isco, who can play the no. 10 role or play in a three-man midfield, or even out wide as an inside forward.

While N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, and Kovacic have done well in midfield, a creative player to compete with Mason Mount could add depth to the Chelsea squad.

Isco is a player who can move the ball forward with his quick dribbling or even with a clever pass, and he seems to be the type of player who could elevate the Chelsea creativity department.

The Spaniard would add great quality and depth to the Chelsea squad, and the Blues should sign him if the opportunity arises.
