West Ham United Want To Sign Serie A Attacking Ace: What Will He Add To The Team?

Premier League side West Ham United are interested in signing former Liverpool player Suso from AC Milan, as per reports.

The Spaniard joined the Italian club in January 2015, and has gone on to become one of the most important players for Milan.

As per Calciomercato, the Hammers are one of a few Premier League sides interested in bringing him back to England. Wolves and Tottenham are also reportedly interested in signing the 25-year-old attacking midfielder.

Suso’s current contract with Milan expires in 2022. The Spanish international made 21 appearances for Liverpool, but couldn’t quite cut it in England, which resulted in him moving to Milan on a free transfer in 2015.

The attacker has made nearly 150 appearances for Milan, scoring 24 goals and 36 assists for the club. He has also represented the Spanish national team on 5 occasions, with his latest coming earlier this year.

What will Suso add to West Ham United?

Suso is a skilful player with tremendous technical ability, and plays mostly as a right-winger. On the right, he cuts into central areas with his favoured left foot to put in crosses or dribble in field.

The Spaniard has the vision and ability to pick out his teammates with clever passes, as well as dribbling his way past opposition defenders.

In an under-performing AC Milan side, Suso has averaged 2.3 key passes per game, while averaging 2 shots per game for his team. The 25-year-old has been one of the bright sparks in a listless AC Milan side.

If West Ham can convince Suso to join them, it will be a coup for the Hammers as he is a player who should be playing for a Champions League side in the Premier League. Suso would add energy, enthusiasm and flair in the attacking third.

He not only has pace and dribbling ability, but also has the composure to pick out the right passes, which separates him from several other wingers in Europe right now.

West Ham have Andriy Yarmolenko and Michail Antonio who can play on the right, but Suso is a better player than those two as he has a final pass in him. The Hammers should sign him and build their attack around him.
