Manchester United are on a roll, winning their last three games, all away from home. Their latest victory came at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, where they won 2-1 thanks to a brace from Marcus Rashford.
The Red Devils have yet another away game as they face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been performing well over the last few games, which began in the game against Liverpool. After their away win at Norwich City last weekend, United shot up to 7th in the Premier League table, with 13 points from 10 games.
The last time these two sides met at the Vitality Stadium, United won 2-1, thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial. Let’s take a look at the possible Manchester United lineup for Saturday’s game:
Predicted Manchester United Lineup vs Bournemouth
Goalkeeper
David de Gea was given a rest for the midweek League Cup game against Chelsea, but he should return to the side for Saturday’s game.
Defence
Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Marcos Rojo started for United against Chelsea in a three-man defence. Lindelof came off in the 66th minute as he looked like he had got a knock, while Maguire, too, seemed to have a received knock.
But Solskjaer revealed that it’s not serious and the duo should make the Manchester United lineup against Bournemouth. We could see United revert to a back four with Marcos Rojo dropping to the bench.
Ashley Young came on late in the game against Chelsea and he should return to the side, starting at left-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka played the entire 90 minutes against Chelsea, and he too should start the game, at right-back.
Midfield
Paul Pogba is out till December, while Nemanja Matic is injured as well. This means that the midfield duo of Fred and Scott McTominay should start against Bournemouth, despite both of them playing the entire 90 minutes against Chelsea.
Andreas Pereira was a second-half substitute against the Blues; he should return to the side to play behind the main striker.
Attack
Marcus Rashford has now scored three goals in the last two games in all competitions. The Englishman should start for United, moving from the striker role that he played against Chelsea, to the left flank.
Anthony Martial was a second-half substitute in the mid-week game. The Frenchman will play as the main striker, with Daniel James playing on the right.
