Arsenal summer signing Dani Ceballos has revealed that he is very happy at the Emirates, and that he doesn’t regret the decision to leave Real Madrid.

Ceballos joined the North London club from the Spanish giants on a season-long loan, and has impressed for the Gunners so far.

The 23-year-old Spanish midfielder, speaking to reporters during national duty, had this to say about his move to Arsenal: “I’m very happy at Arsenal, I’m where I want to be, and I had the proper amount of time to play and have fun. It was exactly what I was expecting when I decided to leave Real.”

Ceballos has started in 5 of the 8 games that he has played in the Premier League this season, registering 2 assists, while also scoring once in the Europa League. The Spaniard left Real Madrid after two seasons at the club, having joined from Real Betis in 2017.

The midfielder is currently with the Spain national team ahead of their two Euro 2020 qualifier matches against Norway and Spain.

Should Arsenal sign Ceballos permanently?

Ceballos has been a breath of fresh in the air in the Arsenal midfield as he has energy and creativity in abundance in the middle of the park. The 23-year-old has done well so far for Arsenal, and has won over the Gooners with his enthusiasm and his attacking spirit.

He seems to be a player ahead of the more experienced Mesut Ozil in the attacking midfield role for manager Unai Emery as he offers creativity as well as contributing in defence.

The versatile midfielder can play in a deep role in midfield, or as a central midfielder, or further forward as an attacking midfielder, behind the strikers.

Arsenal should certainly make a move for him and make his current loan a permanent deal. Ceballos is just 23 years of age, and has the potential to be a very good midfielder for the Gunners.

Along with the likes of Mattéo Guendouzi, Ceballos could form a very good central midfield partnership for the next several years.

Ceballos is the complete package, someone who has the heart to run up and down the pitch for the entire 90 minutes, while also possess the talent to create openings in the final third.
