Bamford Out, Nketiah In | 3-3-1-3 Predicted Leeds United Lineup vs QPR

Leeds United have had a drop in form of late, drawing their last two Championship games, which has pushed them to third in the league table, behind West Brom and Preston.

The Whites will host QPR on Saturday, who are two points behind Leeds, and in eighth position. Leeds had a disappointing 0-0 result against Sheffield Wednesday last time around, and will want to turn things around in November.

Marcelo Bielsa may ring in the changes ahead of Saturday’s match, and could bring back a few players who were injured previously.

Early Leeds United Team News

Liam Cooper is back fit, while Jamie Shackleton and Jack Clarke could be considered after featuring for the under-23 team earlier in the week. Pablo Hernandez is still unavailable.

Let’s take a look at the possible Leeds United lineup for the game against QPR:

Predicted Leeds United Lineup vs QPR

Goalkeeper

Kiko Casilla had a solid game against Sheffield Wednesday last time around, making a few important saves. He will retain his spot in the Leeds United lineup, and it would be his 15th league start of the season.

Defence

Cooper was a second half substitute last time around, returning from injury, and he played 45 minutes of the under-23 game on Monday. He should return to the Leeds lineup, replacing Gaetano Berardi at the back.

It remains to be seen if Bielsa sticks to the 3-3-3-1 formation that he has used over the last few games. Ben White should start once again at the back, as should Luke Ayling, both playing at centre-back.

Midfield

Kalvin Phillips didn’t have a very good game against Sheffield Wednesday, which affected the entire team, showing how important he is to the Leeds team. He should start in midfield, with Ezgjan Alioski and Stuart Dallas playing the wing-back roles for the Whites.

Another player returned from injury in the under-23 game, midfielder Jamie Shackleton. The 20-year-old also played 45 minutes of the game, but the game against QPR may come too soon for him to start.

We could see him on the bench for this game. Mateusz Klich should start in midfield for Leeds against QPR.

Attack

Jack Clarke was also involved in the under-23 game and he could make the Leeds squad for the clash against QPR.

Helder Costa was poor in the last game, but he may start yet again as Pablo Hernandez is not yet back from injury. Jack Harrison should start over on the left for Leeds.

We could finally see Eddie Nketiah get a start after being brought on in place of Patrick Bamford at half-time against Sheffield Wednesday. Nketiah hasn’t started a single league game this season for Leeds and could get his first start on Saturday.
