With the European transfer window set to close, Arsenal could be pretty active with some of their players expected to leave the club, one of them being Shkodran Mustafi. Reports in Italy claim that Mustafi is attracting interest from Juventus, who have a few injury issues to deal with.
The German international has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal, and considering the club signed David Luiz from Chelsea, it’s clear that Mustafi needs to move to get regular football.
Arsenal have got off to a mixed start so far this season, and have kept just one cleansheet this season – against Burnley.
Unai Emery’s side had a more than decent transfer window, and considering they now have Callum Chambers back at the club and Rob Holding not far from returning to competitive action, their defence has the numbers.
Chiellini’s injury has forced Juventus to go after Shkodran Mustafi
Mustafi had a good spell with Valencia that helped him earn a move to Arsenal a couple of years ago, but he hasn’t had the desired impact.
At Juventus, however, he will be better protected, and with Maurizio Sarri looking for options, the German could be a decent acquisition this late in the window.
Mustafi has a lot of experience, and will add more depth to the Juventus squad that will face stiff competition from Napoli and Inter Milan for the Serie A title this season.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan arrives in Rome
The Armenian, who was signed by Arsenal on a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez move the other way, has close to joining AS Roma on a loan deal.
The former Borussia Dortmund man is another player who simply failed to fire in the Premier League, and perhaps a change of scenery will do him good.

Roma have young wingers, and Mkhitaryan’s experience could be crucial as they look to get back into the top four this season.
