Seven Changes With Start For Sidibe: 4-3-3 Everton Predicted Lineup vs Lincoln City

Seven Changes With Start For Sidibe: 4-3-3 Everton Predicted Lineup vs Lincoln City 1

Everton suffered their first defeat in the 2019-20 Premier League season last week when they lost 2-0 to Aston Villa at Villa Park. Marco Silva’s men could not trouble the newly-promoted side despite hogging most of the possession in the game.

The Toffees have an easier fixture midweek as they play League One side Lincoln City in the second round of the League Cup. The hosts are currently seventh in the League One table, winning three and losing two games so far.

Silva could use a different side from the one that played in the Premier League, and may also switch to a 4-3-3 formation, which he spoke about recently.

PREDICTED EVERTON LINEUP VS LINCOLN CITY (4-3-3)

Goalkeeper

We could perhaps see Everton No. 1 Jordan Pickford continue in goal as No. 2 keeper Jonas Lössl suffered an injury recently and wasn’t on the bench for the game against Villa though it is not expected to be a long absence.

Defence

Michael Keane and Yerry Mina have been the first-choice centre back partnership this season, and we could see one of them drop to the bench and be replaced by Mason Holgate in the team. At left-back, Everton legend Leighton Baines could replace Lucas Digne, while new signing Djibril Sidibé could start at right-back in place of Seamus Coleman.

Midfield

New signing Jean-Philippe Gbamin has suffered a thigh injury and will be out for 3 months, which means that Morgan Schneiderlin could continue in midfield. Another new signing, Fabian Delph, who has sat out the first few games due to injury, is also due to be back for the game against Lincoln City, and he could be one of the three midfielders for Marco Silva. Tom Davies, who was on the bench for the game against Villa, could start on the right side of a midfield three.

Attack

New signing Moise Kean came off the bench last time around but could get his first start against Lincoln City, flanked by Theo Walcott on the right and Richarlison on the left. Alex Iwobi also came off the bench for the game against Aston Villa, but he may not be fully fit to start a game and could start on the bench once again.
