3 Players Who Can Help Leicester City Beat Bournemouth: English Creative Midfielder Features

leicester city lineup

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City have made a decent start to their league campaign. They remain one of the four teams who are unbeaten this season and stand in the 4th place with a win and two draws from the first three games. They will look to continue their fine form when they welcome Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth to King Power this weekend.

The Cherries have picked up four points from their first three games but are fresh from a loss against Manchester City. Howe’s side were impressive in bits in that game and will prove hard to beat but here are three Leicester City players who can give Rodgers three more points from this tie:

Jamie Vardy

The experienced striker opened his account for the season scoring Leicester’s first goal at Bramall Lane last weekend. He is easily one of the most consistent strikers in the league and will be the danger man for Bournemouth this weekend.

Nathan Ake and Chris Mepham have been decent at the back so far but will face a difficult task this week against the Leicester City attacker. Vardy’s movement and ability to finish half chances with consistency will be the biggest threat for The Cherries in this game.

James Maddison

In his second year at Leicester City, Maddison is now one of the first names on the team sheet for The Foxes and will be crucial for the club’s hopes of qualifying for Europe next season. Maddison has created seven chances so far this season, more than any other player for The Foxes and he has two assists to show for it.

He is afforded a free-flowing role in the midfield and his creativity is what makes Leicester City a strong unit. His work rate on and off the ball and his ability to cut through defences with ease will test Bournemouth’s resilience. If he and Vardy find the right frequency, they can run riot at King Power this weekend.

Ricardo Pereira

Arguably one of the best players in his role in the league now, Periera has been influential in every game of The Foxes this season. He has created three chances from the right-back role, while also making 5.7 tackles and four clearances per game.

His ability to add numbers to attack, all the while providing cover for Jonny Evans at the back has made Leicester City a formidable side. He lends balance to the side, can create problems for Bournemouth at both ends of the field and on his day, can be a genuine match-winner for his side.
