Club record signing to start: Predicted Tottenham Hotspur lineup vs Juventus

Tottenham Hotspur kickstart their 2019-20 pre-season tour against Juventus, whom they will face in the International Champions Cup tournament. The match will be held in Singapore on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino reached the final of the Champions League last year, only to lose to Liverpool, and will hope they start pre-season on a positive note to target bigger things next season.

Spurs will also target a higher finish in the Premier League, better than the fourth place they managed last season, and will be buoyed by the club-record signing of Tanguy Ndombélé.

The north London outfit have a depleted side for the pre-season tour, composed mostly of young players, due to injury to senior players or rest following international matches.

Let’s take a look at the players that could line up for Spurs against Juventus on Sunday.

Predicted Tottenham Hotspur lineup vs Juventus

Goalkeeper

French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will most likely start in goal for Spurs, ahead of Paulo Gazzaniga.

Defence

Pochettino has just one senior full-back in Kyle Walker-Peters, following the sale of Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid, and Danny Rose and Ben Davies have not travelled for pre-season – the former could be sold, while the latter is recovering from an injury.

If the Argentine manager plays a four-man defence, Walker-Peters could play at left-back, with Juan Foyth at right-back, while Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen play as the two centre-backs in the game.

Midfield

Eric Dier also misses out on the pre-season tour of Asia. New signing Tanguy Ndombélé will start in midfield alongside either Harry Winks or Moussa Sissoko, while Dele Alli could play a little further forward, in and around the strikers.

We could also see 18-year-old Oliver Skipp get a chance to play in midfield in pre-season. Christian Eriksen is a part of the squad, but it remains to be seen if Pochettino will play him as he has been linked with a move away from the club.

Attack

Harry Kane will lead the attack for Spurs against Juventus, hoping to regain form following a spell on the sidelines at the end of last season due to injury.

Pochettino has more options in attack than in midfield or defence, which will see a scramble for the two other places which will most likely be filled by Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min.
