West Brom join the race for 15-goal midfield ace: A top option for Bilic?

West Brom have joined the race to sign Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack, as per reports.

The Baggies are tracking Dack closely, but face competition from Aston Villa and Sheffield United for the goal-scoring midfielder, according to the Daily Mail.

Dack had an impressive season in the Championship, and is interested to speak to clubs who are already in the top flight or the Championship outfits who have a genuine chance for a shot at promotion next season.

West Brom made it to the playoffs this past season, but fell at the hands of rivals Aston Villa.

Dack’s contract with the Rovers is due to expire next year, and there has been nothing on the player signing a new deal.

Interestingly, the Baggies have been his long-term admirers, and new manager Slaven Bilic is keen to lure him to the Hawthorns.

Bradley Dack: Profile

Dack began his senior career at Gillingham, and his impressive performances there earned him a move to former Premier League champions Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2017.

He has impressed in the last two seasons, and has been a key contributor of goals from midfield. Dack managed 15 goals and 7 assists in 42 Championship appearances, and is a valuable asset for his current side.

Dack would be a smashing addition to West Brom

West Brom made it to the playoffs of the Championship last season and weren’t far from promotion. A new season will bring new challenges, and Bilic needs to ensure he adds more quality for the team to continue their quest to return to the Premier League.

Dack would be a more than decent addition to the Baggies’ midfield. He played a key role for Blackburn last season, and averaged 1.2 key passes per game on an average.

Bilic is likely to make the team play more on the front foot, and that’s where someone like Dack might come in handy as the 25-year old can pick a pass, and likes to dribble with the ball.

Technically, he is quite sound and over the last two seasons, he has shown immense maturity and calmness on the pitch. His prime years are ahead of him and considering he would be a pretty safe option for the Baggies as he guarantees consistent performances.
