3 possible high profile departures from the Premier League this summer: Arsenal and Watford stars feature

The Premier League is arguably the most appealing league in the world and the riches and level of football which it offers have enabled it to draw superstars from across the world.

While we see many high profile signings every season, along with that, a number of players make expected exits as well. With Aaron Ramsey and Eden Hazard already leaving for Juventus and Real Madrid respectively, here are three more established players which the Premier League might lose in the coming weeks.

Paul Pogba

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is a subject of interest for Real Madrid. According to a report by Mirror, the Spanish giants are desperate to get hold of the French international as Zinedine Zidane looks to complete a massive overhaul.

Zidane returned to the managerial seat at Santiago Bernabeu in March, nine months after leaving the club following three successive Champions League titles. Notably, he has been shown the green light to go after the players he wants.

Pogba has two years left on his current contract with the Red Devils but the prospect of joining Real Madrid should tempt him to make a move. Intriguingly, signing him could potentially cost £160million.

Abdoulaye Doucoure

Watford finished eleventh in the Premier League standings last season and midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure was one of the most instrumental players for them. He performed at a consistently high level and caught the attention of a number of clubs across Europe.

The 26-year-old notched up 5 goals and also garnered 6 assists in 35 league appearances for the Hornets, and also mustered an average pass completion rate of 83.5%. As of now, he is adamant to make an exit from Vicarage Road.

With Paris Saint-Germain keen to make him sign on the dotted line, it would be hard for Watford to hold onto him. The central defensive midfielder hopes to break into the French national team and a move to PSG should help him.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal’s failure to get into next season’s Champions League has led to rumours surfacing regarding the future of attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He is apparently on the radar of Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande.

The Gabon international smashed 22 league goals last season and was unarguably one of the best players for the Gunners. However, the north London based outfit could neither finish inside the top four nor win the Europa League.

A lucrative move to the Far East could be fancied by Aubameyang to end his playing days. The 29-year-old could reportedly earn a massive pay of £300,000-a-week if his move to China materializes. But we expect the brilliant striker to stick around for at least this season and help in Arsenal’s revival playing in arguably the best league in the world.
