5 relegated players who should be targeted by PL clubs including Fulham and Cardiff City stars

Cardiff City, Fulham and Huddersfield Town are the teams that finished in the bottom three of the league and will not be a part of the Premier League next season.

The three teams finished with 34, 26 and 16 points, respectively.

All three teams have a few talented individuals who could earn a move back to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.

Let’s take a look at 5 relegated players who should be targeted by Premier League clubs

Aleksandar Mitrović

The 24-year-old was the top scorer for Fulham this season with 11 goals. The Serbian, who moved from Newcastle United to Fulham in the 2018 summer transfer window after a loan spell, could be on the move once again.

Southampton are rumoured to be interested in Mitrovic for around £30 million, while reports last month suggested that West Ham United could also be interested in the striker.

Josh Murphy

Cardiff City winger Josh Murphy had a decent campaign in his first year with the club after completing an £11 million move from Norwich City. Murphy had previous Premier League experience, featuring a few times for Norwich in the 2013-14 campaign alongside twin brother Jacob Murphy.

Josh Murphy is a left-footed winger who has good pace and dribbling abilities and is a left-sided attacker. Chelsea were rumoured to be interested while Crystal Palace and Burnley have also been linked with a move for Murphy.

Aaron Mooy

28-year-old Australian midfielder Aaron Mooy was one of the bright spots for Huddersfield Town this season in the Premier League. The combative and tough-tackling midfielder was signed by Manchester City in 2016 and immediately loaned to Huddersfield, and the next year he made the loan move a permanent one.

Mooy is a creative player who can cross the ball from midfield while driving into attack too. Southampton have been heavily linked with a move for the Australian, while Wolves and Leeds United are also set to be interested in signing him.

Neil Etheridge

Cardiff City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge had a fantastic season for the Bluebirds, finishing second behind Lukasz Fabianski for most saves in the 2018-19 season. The Philippines international joined the club on a free transfer in 2017. He could be a good second keeper for top sides, while the mid-table sides would become a much better side with him between the sticks.

Ryan Sessegnon

Ryan Sessegnon could be the biggest name to be signed from one of the relegated sides this year. The teenager, who can play as a defender, in midfield, or attack on the left side has serious potential to become one of the best in England. At just 18 years of age,  Sessegnon has already made over 100 appearances for the club.

Juventus and Tottenham are interested in signing the teenager for a reported fee of around £40 million.
