Tottenham Hotspur locks horns with Liverpool in the Champions League final at Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday.

The North London club were close to being knocked out in the group stages and against Ajax, but managed to make it through.

Mauricio Pochettino along with his players deserves all the credit for this miraculous UCL campaign, so let’s take a look at the three Spurs players who can make a difference come Saturday.

Lucas Moura

The Brazilian has been a key player for the Lilywhites, and has shown he thrives in pressure situations. When Spurs entered their third group stage game after two consecutive defeats, Moura equalised for the side, a goal that proved to be crucial as they eventually made the knockout stage.

Against Barcelona at Camp Nou, the 26-year-old scored again to ensure Spurs went through to the knockout stages. His second-half hat-trick against Ajax in the semi-final second leg to take Pochettino and co. to Madrid was the pick of the lot.

Moura has been given the free role which the Brazilian has used to his advantage. His pace will be useful against Liverpool, and his energy will be the biggest factor considering Liverpool like to build-up from the back.

Son Heung-Min

In the absence of Harry Kane, if there is one man who has risen to the occasion, it’s Heung-Min Son. He scored against Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 stages at home but his most significant contribution came in the quarter-finals of the competition.

The South Korean scored the only goal of the game at home, and his brace in the away leg to take Spurs through to the next round was one of his best performances ever. He could be the man to lead the line for Spurs against Liverpool on Saturday as Harry Kane isn’t match-fit yet.

The 26-year-old’s pace, technical prowess, close control and his composure in front of the goal makes him a big threat in the final third.

Christian Eriksen

The Dane has been the foremost creative outlet for the North London club in the centre of the pitch.

Eriksen has been used in a deeper role at times this season, and that could be key against Liverpool as they Reds are vulnerable on the break.

With players like Son and Moura in front of him, Eriksen’s passing range can hurt Liverpool come Saturday.
