Liverpool will hope to end their two-game winless streak when they take on Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday.

Draws against Leicester City and West Ham United have heaped pressure on Liverpool, and Manchester City’s win against Everton in mid-week pushed the Reds to second in the Premier League table.

Liverpool play their game in hand against an inconsistent Bournemouth side, and can once again put a bit of pressure on Manchester City who face Chelsea on Sunday.

After wins against West Ham and Chelsea, Bournemouth were brought back to earth by Cardiff City last weekend and will look to test Liverpool on Saturday.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth – Team News

The Reds might have Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson back, and it remains to be seen if Klopp will start with both of them considering they have a good break coming up before their clash against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned to training, but we don’t expect the England international to feature in the starting XI so quickly after returning from an injury. That means James Milner might once again feature at right-back.

Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren are unlikely to feature for Liverpool as well, so Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk are expected to continue at the heart of the defence.

Callum Wilson and David Brooks are still unavailable for Bournemouth, while Nathaniel Clyne will be ineligible to play against his parent club.

Jefferson Lerma’s fitness is touch and go and he’ll be assessed ahead before the game.  Former Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke is in line to start, with Wilson unavailable.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth – Predicted Lineup

Liverpool Predicted Lineup: Alisson, Robertson, Van Dijk, Matip, Milner, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Shaqiri, Mane, Firmino, Salah

Bournemouth Predicted Lineup: Boruc, Daniels, Ake, Cook, Smith, Fraser, Surman, Lerma, Stanislas, King, Solanke

Liverpool vs Bournemouth – Key Players

Liverpool’s midfield has looked a bit patchy of late, and the return of Wijnaldum will be key as the Dutchman’s work-rate in midfield has been immense.

Wijnaldum is often there at the right place and at the right time to pick up the loose balls and that’ll be key against Bournemouth, who tend to make use of the turnovers and second balls.

For Bournemouth, the two wide players will look to make the best use on the counters, especially on the left where Fraser will be up against Milner, the makeshift right-back.
