CONFIRMED Liverpool vs Manchester City Lineups: Big Changes in Midfield

Manchester City and Liverpool square off in what will be the biggest game of the Premier League this season and the two teams have confirmed their lineups.

Manchester City head into the tie as the underdogs but have the team to beat Liverpool and hand them their first defeat.

Pep Guardiola has gone with Sergio Aguero up front and he’ll be supported by the duo of Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling. Laporte will play as the makeshift left-back with Benjamin Mendy out injured and Fabian Delph serving a suspension.

Manchester City Confirmed XI: Ederson, Danilo, Stones, Kompany (C), Laporte, Fernandinho, Silva, Sane, Bernardo, Sterling, Aguero

Liverpool, on the other hand, will lineup with their front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah as usual.

The big shock is Fabinho’s exclusion. The Brazilian only makes the bench as Klopp has decided to go with James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum in a three-man midfield.

Liverpool confirmed XI: Alisson, Robertson, Van Dijk, Lovren, Alexander-Arnold, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino
