Leeds United have been in a scintillating run of form of late and will look to keep it up when they take on Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday.
The Boxing Day fixture is the first two back to back home games for the Whites as they hope to keep their place at the top of the table and strengthen their hold on the automatic promotions spots.
Leeds have managed to deal with injuries to some of their star players and have still maintained an incredible consistency that saw them finish the first half of the season as Championship leaders.
Revenge will be on Leeds’ mind when they face Blackburn, a team who they lost to in mid-October.
Leeds United Team News
Leeds were without the duo of Patrick Bamford and Barry Douglas for the clash against Aston Villa but the duo are expected to return to the matchday squad come Wednesday.
Predicted Leeds United Lineup
Defence
Pontus Jansson and Kalvin Phillips are likely to continue in the two centre-back positions. Bailey-Peacock Farrell will keep his place in goal.
Bielsa will have to assess Douglas before the game but in case the full-back fails to make it, we could see Luke Ayling shift to the left-back role with Jamie Shackleton featuring on the right.
Midfield
Adam Forshaw and Mateusz Klich will start as the two central midfielders with the latter playing a box to box role at times considering he likes getting forward.
Pablo Hernandez should start in the number 10 role from where he can influence proceeding even more than the wide area.
Attack
Jack Clarke scored his first goal for the club and in the process started the comeback against Aston Villa this past weekend. It’s about time Bielsa gives the teenager a start on the left.
Ezgjan Alioski is likely to feature on the opposite wing and Kemar Roofe will lead the line.
Roofe finished excellently following an error by the Villa defence to hand Leeds the three points in the last game and his confidence will be high at the moment.

Clarke – Hernandez – Alioski
Forshaw – Klich
