Alexis Sanchez made a controversial exit from Arsenal during the January transfer window to join Manchester United and Henrikh Mkhitaryan went in the opposite direction in a direct swap deal. Sanchez had made a huge impact in the Premier League during his time with the Gunners.
The Red Devils made him sign on the dotted line of a deal which offered him a salary of £500,000-a-week. However, Jose Mourinho’s decision of brining him to the Old Trafford seems to be a mistake as the attacker is yet to find the back of the net this season.
Sanchez has made five league appearances so far this campaign, starting four of those, but is yet to make a serious impact. The Chilean international has flattered to deceive and as per one of the latest reports by Daily Star, Mourinho is keen to offload him as soon as possible.
The former Chelsea manager has reportedly grown frustrated with the 29-year-old and is in pursuit of finding a buyer for him. To everyone’s shock, Sanchez was axed from Manchester United’s squad which suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham United at the London Stadium on Saturday.
