Premier League’s seventh set of matches will commence this evening when Manchester United take on West Ham United in an early kickoff. However, the main match of the weekend will be between Liverpool and Chelsea. Chelsea defeated Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in the midweek and hence Jurgen Klopp’s side will look to exact revenge today evening.
Let us take a look at 3 players who might play a big part in the upcoming fixtures.
Aleksandar Mitrovic
Aleksandar Mitrovic has endured an impressive start to his Premier League campaign as the Serbian is the joint top goal-scorer along with Eden Hazard. He has been busy in front of the goal, often finishing off chances quite well.
Mitrovic is tall and strong, holds up the play well and is an aerial threat too. He has a good finishing instinct, visible from his equalizer against Watford last weekend. Mitrovic has scored five goals in six matches and is Fulham’s talisman up front.
The Cottagers depend on him to deliver consistently and it remains to be seen whether the striker manages to continue his rich run of form against Marco Silva’s Everton.
Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard is growing into prominence with each passing week as Maurizio Sarri’s brand of football suits his style of play. The dynamic winger has dominated teams until now this season, as his movement, dribbling and a killer instinct in front of the goal has helped Chelsea remain unbeaten until now.
Hazard has scored five goals so far this season, including a hat-trick against Cardiff City. He seems to be fulfilling his potential now and is proving to be the difference-maker between Chelsea and their opponents. His wonderful solo strike against Liverpool at Anfield was a testament to the individual brilliance of this player.
He will look to torment Jurgen Klopp’s side yet again today.
Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian might not have started the season as brilliantly as he was expected to, but he still has three goals and an assist to his name in six matches.
However, there is a growing concern that Salah’s overall impact has reduced this season and he would be keen to prove his doubters wrong. Salah will be facing his old club Chelsea and he will come up against Marcos Alonso on the flank.
Alonso’s tendency to wander ahead and combine with Hazard in the final third could leave space for Salah to exploit. The former AS Roma player is capable of using his quick pace and nonchalant dribbling ability to trouble Chelsea’s backline.
With Hazard shining for Sarri’s side in the midweek, it is time for Salah to step up this time around.
