Key Duo To Return: Predicted 4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Lineup vs Brighton

Tottenham Hotspur will look to get back to winning ways as they travel to Falmer Stadium to face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday. The North London giants are currently on a rough patch, having suffered defeats in all of their last three matches in all competitions.

Brighton themselves are winless since their shock win over Manchester United last month. However, they did pick up an impressive draw against Southampton last Monday and confidence will be high.

Pochettino’s side know they can be as callous as they have been in recent outings as Brighton have the players to cause an upset.

Tottenham Team news

Tottenham will once again miss out on the services of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who is suffering a thigh problem and is not expected to return until the first week of next month.

In addition, Dele Alli has been deemed doubtful for this clash. The English international couldn’t feature in the midweek game due to his hamstring injury. Moussa Sissoko is also sidelined with an injury along with Juan Foyth and Vincent Janssen.

Pochettino left out the duo of Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld and they should return to the starting XI.

Predicted Tottenham Hotspur Lineup

Defence

Michel Vorm will continue to deputise for the injured Hugo Lloris in between the sticks for Tottenham. The Dutchman made a couple of impressive saves against Inter.

In defence, we could expect a few changes with Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose replacing Serge Aurier and Ben Davies in the fullback slots. Davies, in particular, was awful against Inter, which is why Rose could get his chance.

Jan Vertonghen will be the only defender to retain his place at the back. Toby Alderweireld was missed in central defence against Inter as the Italians mounted a late comeback. The Belgian is expected to replace Davinson Sanchez.

Midfield

Pochettino is likely to use a 4-2-3-1 formation largely due to the absence of Dele Alli. This could see Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele retain their place in central midfield.

Christian Eriksen will also retain his place in the starting eleven. The Danish international will be deployed further forward to operate as the number 10.

Attack

The Tottenham attack will be led by Harry Kane, who is yet to make a big impression this season. Kane will be supported by the wide-duo of Lucas Moura and Son Heung-Min.

Moura looked quite sharp after coming on against Inter and given the fact that he has completed the more number of dribbles than any other player in the team this season, his presence could give his side the spark they need in the attacking half.
