Despite spending truckloads of cash in the summer transfer window to beef up the arsenal, West Ham United are yet to get off the mark in the Premier League this season. Manager Manuel Pellegrini is already facing pressure from anxious West Ham United’s fans who want their team to excel.
After suffering defeats at the hands of Liverpool, Bournemouth and Arsenal, the Irons were beaten by top-flight’s newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium on Saturday. At the moment, West Ham United are looking really clueless.
Summer signing from Borussia Dortmund for a transfer fee of £17.5m, Andriy Yarmolenko came off the bench against Wolves but he failed to turn the tides in favour of his employers. Notably, the Ukrainian international has apologized to the fans for the dismal start of the Hammers.
He said: “I want to say sorry to our fans, and we must perform better. We have good players and a good coach, but we must fight for results.” Pellegrini’s men are due to take on Everton at the Goodison Park on 16th September and it will be intriguing to see how they fare after the international break.
