As per one of the latest reports by The Telegraph, Paul Pogba has told his Manchester United teammates that he is desirous to leave the Old Trafford. Barcelona are desperately trying to lure him to Camp Nou this summer and are willing to roll out £45m, plus Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina, to acquire his services.
Pogba’s relationship with Jose Mourinho has turned into a disillusioned one and the interest from Barca has apparently put the ball in the court of the French international. Having won the World Cup with France in Russia, the midfielder wants his wages to rise to £350,000-a-week from his existing £150,000-a-week.
However, the Red Devils are believed to have informed the La Liga giants that they aren’t desirous to strike Pogba off their books. Manchester United’s chief executive Ed Woodward is reportedly against the idea of letting the 25-year-old leave the club, irrespective of his troublesome relationship with Mourinho.
The red half of Manchester have had a strange transfer window so far. Despite being quick in making Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant sign on the dotted line earlier this summer, Mourinho’s camp have been left frustrated in their pursuit of signing the likes of Harry Maguire, Mina and Jerome Boateng.
