Mourinho Labels Manchester United Midfield General As “Monster”!

Paul Pogba

Manchester United commenced their Premier League season with a commendable 2-1 win over Leicester City at the Old Trafford yesterday. Interestingly, what impressed manager Jose Mourinho the most was the performance of the French World Cup winner Paul Pogba.

Pogba was stupendous, authoritative and perseverant for the Red Devils last night as he captained his side in a galvanizing manner. He showed absolutely no signs of tiredness despite the fact that he inspired France to World Cup glory last month in Russia.

The home side were handed a lead on the 3rd minute after Pogba found the back of the net from the penalty spot, which was doubled by Luke Shaw on the 83rd minute. The Foxes grabbed one goal back through Jamie Vardy’s strike during the injury-time but it was too late for Claude Puel’s troops to stage a comeback.

After an insignificant transfer window, during which Mourinho roped in only three new acquisitions in Lee Grant, Fred and Diogo Dalot, Manchester United lacked options for their midfield sector. With Ander Herrera injured, Pogba stepped up when his side needed him and he delivered.

The former Chelsea manager went on to describe the 25-year-old midfielder as a “monster”. Pogba answered to his manager’s call during their scarcity last night, lasted for 84 minutes on the pitch and left no stone unturned to turn the tides in favour of Manchester United.

I stumbledupon it read I am going to return yet again since I saved as a favorite it.
