Middlesbrough have started their Championship campaign in a stupendous manner, having collected 13 points from 5 games so far. Tony Pulis has already made some shrewd signings this summer such as Aden Flint, Jordan Hugill and Paddy McNair but is still active in the transfer market.
As per one of the latest reports by Teesside Live, Boro are set to make a move for Millwall’s box-to-box midfielder George Saville. Pulis’ camp had tried to lure Saville to the Riverside Stadium earlier in the transfer window but they weren’t successful in their pursuit. Apparently, they are still interested to land him.
The report further states that the prospective move would be an initial season-long loan spell with an option to buy for £5m. Middlesbrough have to be quick as the loan transfer window is set to expire on Friday. Saville is one of the most valued assets on the books of the Lions and there is no denying that.
The 25-year-old is a versatile midfielder and has the calibre to operate as a central attacking midfielder as well as a left-back. He made 44 appearances in the English second division last term and he found the back of the net on 10 occasions, helping his side in finishing 8th in the league table.
