As per one of the latest reports by Birmingham Live, Aston Villa are keeping close tabs on Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham. The 20-year-old has been on the radar of the Villans throughout the summer and Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is desperate to lure him to the Villa Park.
Abraham emerged through the youth ranks of Chelsea and is undoubtedly one of the highly rated young guns at the Stamford Bridge. During the 2016-17 season, he was out on loan with Bristol City and he managed to find the back of the net on 23 occasions in 41 Championship appearances.
Last term, he was shipped out on loan to Swansea City and he mustered 5 goals and 1 assist in the Premier League outings. Reportedly, Bruce has an eye on the future of the club and is set to target young players whom he can eventually sign permanently in case the Lions get promoted to the Premier League.
Bruce wants to sign two more players before the transfer window shuts down on 31st August and someone like Abraham will be a handy addition to his arsenal. The English international is a clinical goal-getter and will bring more competition for a place in Bruce’s starting line-up.
