As per reports by Goal, Arsenal sensational Reiss Nelson is on the verge of making a switch to Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim. Nelson is expected to move on a loan deal to get more game time and continue his development.
The 18-year-old is one of the highly rated young players on the books of Unai Emery’s side. Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann has also confirmed about his side’s intention to make Nelson sign on the dotted line.
When asked about Nelson’s move, he said: “The transfer is not through yet, but we are very interested. I can confirm that. We are trying to make it happen. We have to solve a last few details.”
Nelson is behind the likes of Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck in the pecking order at Arsenal. Securing regular first-team opportunities will not be easy for him if he decides to stay at the Emirates Stadium this season.
So far, he has mustered 16 appearances for Arsenal’s senior side. Interestingly, he has less than one year left on his current deal with the north London based side and he is expected to agree on a fresh deal before finalising his move to Hoffenheim.
