Chelsea are currently undergoing a series of changes under new manager Maurizio Sarri. The transition period starts for the London club this summer with Sarri being appointed as the new Chelsea boss who takes over from fellow Italian, Antonio Conte.
And understandably, the first player he signed was a star in his former team, Napoli.
Jorginho signed for the London club for a fee of 50 million pounds with 7 million in add-ons. He was an integral part of Sarri’s Napoli side which put forth a strong challenge to Juventus in the Serie A last season.
Jorginho, who is a defensive midfielder, had an exceptional season with the Naples side and was a major talking point in the summer transfer window as he was being pursued by Manchester City and Pep who were looking to reinforce their midfield by adding the Italian to their list.
The Citizens had to give up in the race to sign the midfielder as the London club swooped in for the player and the manager in a sensational transfer coup. Jorginho started playing for Verona during his initial days he then moved to Napoli in 2014 and featured in 133 games for the Italian side and scored 2 goals during his stay at Naples.
With the amazing passing range and skills, we feel he will soon become of the most integral players to Sarri’s side at Chelsea and will help them achieve their targets for the upcoming season.
