Predicted 4-2-3-1 Rangers Line-Up Vs Kilmarnock: Cummings To Lead The Line? 2

After a 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Celtic last weekend, Rangers are due to take on Kilmarnock at the Ibrox Stadium on Saturday in their next Scottish Premiership fixture. The Gers certainly need to bounce back and ensure that they bag as many points as possible in the remaining games.

Rangers Team News

Wes Foderingham is expected to miss out once again due to his shoulder issue. While Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller are out due to suspension, Ryan Jack and David Bates remain as the long-term absentees.

Here is how we expect Graeme Murty to roll out his starting line-up against Steve Clarke’s side.

Goalkeeper

In the absence of Foderingham, Jak Alnwick is expected to continue in goal.

Defence

Ross McCrorie and Russell Martin are likely to be placed in the heart of the back line of the Glasgow based outfit. McCrorie has had a breakthrough season and has shown immense calibre. He’ll be keen to finish the season on a high. On the other hand,  Martin has plenty of experience under his belt which should come in handy.

James Tavernier is expected to start at the right-back slot. Tavernier has had a good season but his form has been patchy of late and thus, he needs to get back to his best. Andy Halliday is likely to operate as the left-back once again, having played against Celtic last weekend.

Midfield

Greg Docherty and Graham Dorrans are expected to get the nod from Murty to start at the middle of the park. Docherty has to step up after a series of mediocre outings. Unlike his midfield partner, Dorrans has put in consistent performances.

Josh Windass has been far from his best, owing to injuries in recent weeks and he’ll be keen to make his presence felt against Kilmarnock. He is set to operate from the no. 10 position to create chances for his side.

Attack

Up top, we expect Jason Cummings to start. Cummings is a cunning attacker and it would be intriguing to see how he fares this weekend. From the right flank, Daniel Candeias is likely to start whereas on the left flank, Jamie Murphy deserves to get the nod.
