How West Ham United might line up against Leicester City

west ham lineup

West Ham United seem to be dropping closer to the bottom of the points table with each passing week as they have now failed to win any of their last four league games. They are fresh from back to back losses against Manchester City and Arsenal but will look to bounce back this weekend, when they travel to King Power, to take on a Leicester City side that seem to already be on a holiday.

Suffering their worst defeat this season in the hands of the Eagles last weekend, The Foxes have dropped to the 9th place and will want to arrest their slump. Both teams are coming off of forgettable losses and will surely put in the hard years to get back to winning ways.

The result of this game has no bearing on the bigger picture in the league but this game is sure to produce some entertainment. Here is the predicted lineup David Moyes might field for this tie:

West Ham United: Team News

In early team news, Moyes is still without the services of Winston Reid, Michail Antonio, Sam Byram and Pedro Obiang, all of who are long-term absentees. James Collins is back from a hamstring injury but might not be risked in this game.

Expected lineup (3-4-3)

Defence

Adrain took over Joe Hart for the game against City as the English custodian was not eligible to play against his parent club. But he did not better and conceded four goals, so Moyes should revert back to Hart for this game Leicester City. Angelo Ogbonna is one of the first names on the team sheet for The Hammers and will start this game at the heart of the backline.

Patrice Evra was given a shot in the backline and though was not at his best, might be tested there yet again. He will start on the left side of the backline while Declan Rice will keep his place to the right of Ogbonna.

Midfield

Aaron Creswell scored the only West Ham goal, playing as a wing-back will keep his place on the left-flank for this tie. Pablo Zabaleta will add some experience at wing-back on the other flank.

Mark Noble and Chiekhou Kouyate have been out of depth in the last two leagues game and will look to put in a strong performance this weekend.

Attack

Marko Arnautovic will be the danger man for Leicester in this game. He will lead the attack and will be supported by Joao Mario on the left flank and Manuel Lanzini on the right flank.
