Three Possible Destinations For Manchester United Wantaway Star Including Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester United star Anthony Martial has reportedly turned down a new contract offer and wants to leave the club in the upcoming summer, as per reports. The news will come as a huge blow not just for the Manchester United fans but also to Jose Mourinho.

Martial has been one of the best attackers for the Red Devils, in recent years. However, since the acquisition of Alexis Sanchez, Martial has been struggling with lack of game-time with the Frenchman not scoring since January.

This, however, will be a huge boost for a host of top European clubs, who have been seeking the services of Anthony Martial for a long time now.

In this article, we will discuss three possible destinations for this highly rated Manchester United winger, in the upcoming transfer window.

Paris-Saint Germain

Despite the world-record signing of Neymar last summer, it has been a rough season so far, for the French giants.

Although PSG are leading the Ligue 1 table by a whopping 14 points to second-placed Monaco, they were knocked out in the UEFA Champions League, at the hands of Real Madrid, which definitely won’t go down well with most of their fans.

And to make things worse, Brazilian superstar Neymar has been shockingly linked with an exit on several occasions over the last few months. Therefore, the French giants should definitely consider signing Anthony Martial.

The Frenchman can easily strengthen PSG’s attacking department whilst also being a potential long-term replacement if Neymar makes a shocking exit.

Tottenham Hotspur

Another team making a strong case for signing Anthony Martial is Manchester United’s Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Lilywhites have been one of the most impressive teams in the league ever since the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as head coach. Currently standing fourth in the Premier League table, Spurs are keen to make a strong surge for the title next season.

However, with the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli being on the end of some major transfer speculation, Pochettino will be delighted to sign the Manchester United starlet, regardless of whether any of the present stars leave or not.

Atletico Madrid

Last but not the least, Atletico Madrid will be in quality need of a striker, especially with the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco destined to leave the club this summer.

Griezmann, in particular, has been strongly linked with a move to FC Barcelona, meaning the Spanish giants could be in deep trouble should they fail to sign a proper replacement for the French superstar.

Martial’s flair and speed are perfect for Diego Simeone’s tactical philosophy, while his ability to score goals will lend Atletico an advantage in the final third.

Therefore, it would be interesting to see how Anthony Martial’s transfer saga pans out this summer.
