Key Change In Midfield: 4-4-1-1 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face Burnley 2

Leicester City couldn’t prolong a four-game unbeaten run in the domestic league last weekend when they welcomed Newcastle United to King Power. A late goal from Jamie Vardy was not enough to rescue anything from the game but the Foxes retained their 8th place in the points table, 32 games into the season. They have no real chance of qualifying for Europe but will want to finish the season on a high starting with their trip to Turf Moor this weekend.

Fresh from four back to back victories, Sean Dyche’s side are six points above Leicester in the points table, and are unbeaten in their last three outings at Turf Moor leading into this game. Leicester City can reduce the gap to just three points with a win but The Clarets are not easy to beat at home and will test the visitors till the end. A loss in this game for Palace will give Everton a chance to jump above Leicester in the points table and Puel will hope that his side can at least take a point from this game. Here is the predicted lineup he might field for this tie:

Team News:

In early team news, Matty James who is out injured and Wilfried Ndidi, who is suspended are the only players surely unavailable for this weekend. Vicente Iborra is currently being assessed and might also struggle to make it to this game while Daniel Amartey will undergo a late fitness test before the game.

Expected lineup (4-4-1-1):

Defence:

Kasper Schmeichel did not have the greatest of nights against the Magpies and will want to redeem himself this weekend. He will start between the sticks while Harry Maguire and Wes Morgan will have their task cut out against the likes of Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.

Ben Chilwell is now the preferred left-back and will start yet again while Danny Simpson remains a reliable presence at right-back for Leicester.

Midfield:

With Ndidi and Iborra likely to be missing, Andre Silva is set to start at the heart of the midfield in this game. Leicester’s other injury issues mean Marc Albrighton might have to start alongside Silva against the Clarets.

With Albrighton in the midfield, Demarai Gray will start on the left flank while Riyad Mahrez will start on the right flank for the Foxes.

Attack:

Jamie Vardy will want to continue his goal scoring form this weekend and will be assisted by Shinji Okazaki from a slightly deeper role.
