Celtic engineered yet another victory in the Scottish Premiership as they secured a comprehensive 3-0 win over Ross County at the Celtic Park. For the Bhoys, goals came from Moussa Dembele, Stuart Armstrong and Tom Rogic whereas the Staggies hardly had a say in the fixture.
Here is how we rated Brendan Rodgers’ men after their dazzling win earlier today.
Scott Bain 7/10
The custodian was stationed under the bar and he hardly put a foot wrong throughout the game. His save to deny Billy McKay from finding the back of the net early on was stupendous.
Mikael Lustig 6/10
He didn’t have much to do as Celtic dominated with their offensive endeavours. Nonetheless, he did his basics right.
Dedryck Boyata 5/10
Boyata squandered possession with his misplaced passes and seemed to lack the resilience that was required from him at the back.
Kristoffer Ajer 6/10
Although he wasn’t troubled much defensively, Ajer went forward occasionally and is slowly but surely becoming a complete player.
Callum McGregor 6/10
McGregor struggled at times but some of his touches and flicks were exemplary. However, a lot more was expected from him.
Scott Brown 6/10
The central midfielder dictated the tempo of the game considerably and manoeuvred quality passes to make his presence felt.
Stuart Armstrong 8/10
It was a stupendous outing for Armstrong as he showcased immense work-rate and exuberance throughout the pitch. He was the engine room for the Celts and also scored a goal early in the second-half.
Scott Sinclair 6/10
Sinclair wasn’t at his best but he did contribute in plenty to his side’s attacking movements. He looked desirous to find the back of the net and his movements did trouble the opposition.
Tom Rogic 7/10
Rogic dominated the game in patches and scored Celtic’s third goal of the game which took the game away completely from the visiting side. It was an encouraging performance by the Australian international.
James Forrest 7/10
He bagged an assist and his movements on and off the ball made it hard for Ross County’s defenders to mark him.
Moussa Dembele 6/10
The Frenchman got some chances to score but he failed to be clinical. However, he broke the deadlock from the penalty box.
Substitutions:
Jack Hendry 5/10
He replaced Boyata after the break and despite the fact that he was hardly tested, the game time that he received should help him in his process of learning.
Patrick Roberts 4/10
Roberts was put on the pitch by Rodgers after the former Liverpool manager pulled out Forrest, but Roberts struggled to involve himself in the scheme of things.
Leigh Griffiths 5/10
He replaced Dembele with around 20 minutes left to play and did try to get into the game.
