Celtic bulldozed past their arch rivals, Rangers, in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup as they secured a thumping 4-0 win at Hampden Park. Goals from Tom Rogic, Callum McGregor, Moussa Dembele and Olivier Ntcham ensured their progress to the final.
Here are our Celtic player ratings from their win over the Gers earlier today.
Craig Gordon 7/10
Gordon was back between the sticks and had very little to do. However, he made a good save to deny Alfredo Morelos from finding the back of the net with his header.
Mikael Lustig 7/10
The right-back galloped forward on plenty of occasions and performed his defensive duties pretty well.
Kristoffer Ajer 6/10
Ajer did take his time to settle in the game and didn’t fare all that well against Morelos. A lot more was expected of him. But, he is still young and the experience of playing in a Cup final will help him in the future.
Dedryck Boyata 7/10
The centre-back was quite resilient at the back and showed his composure in the game from the very beginning. It was an encouraging outing for him.
Kieran Tierney 7/10
The Scottish youngster ran up and down the pitch time and again and showcased his tremendous work-rate.
Scott Brown 8/10
Brown imposed his dominance in the middle of the park yet again and was looked good with his passing. He dictated the tempo of the game from the middle of the game and was in a great touch.
Olivier Ntcham 8/10
The central midfielder scored the fourth goal for the Hoops with a ferocious drive from the penalty spot. He appeared to be at ease in the middle and was comfortable in possession.
James Forrest 7/10
Forrest assisted Rogic for the opening goal and produced a lot of industry in the final third.
Tom Rogic 8/10
The Australian international has a commendable outing against the Gers. He opened the scoring and was pretty involved in the final third with his runs from midfield.
Callum McGregor 8/10
Time and again, McGregor made some valuable contributions while his side attacked. He scored the second goal and had a good day at the office.
Moussa Dembele 9/10
The Frenchman resembled a live wire up front as he showed his predatory instincts. He combined well with his teammates and found the back of the net from the penalty spot.
Substitutions
Scott Sinclair 5/10
Sinclair offered more freshness for Brendan Rodgers’ side after coming on. However, he didn’t have the impact he would have liked after replacing Rogic in the second-half.
Patrick Roberts 6/10
Roberts moved tirelessly up front and did try to make his presence felt after being put on the pitch at the expense of Forrest.
Leigh Griffiths 5/10
The veteran striker replaced Dembele with just 10 minutes left to play and did his basics right.
