Watford might have just done enough to ensure their survival in the Premier League next season as they have collected 36 points from 31 games. However, they must try to better their league position.
Javi Gracia would need his men to perform to their best of potential and here are three players who are going to be crucial in the process.
#3 Gerard Deulofeu
Gerard Deulofeu was signed by Barcelona last summer from Everton but the attacker failed to make any sort of impact under the tutelage of Ernesto Valverde.
In the January transfer window, he was signed by Watford on loan and he needs to make the most of the opportunities in the coming months to resurrect his career.
He has played just four games in the Premier League after his move to the Vicarage Road and has scored one goal.
However, given his versatility of being able to play on either wing as well as a central attacking midfielder, the 24-year-old should be getting chances to thrive in the coming weeks from Gracia and he could be an instrumental player for them owing to his calibre.
#2 Richarlison
Brazilian sensation, Richarlison has been one of the bright sparks for the Hornets this season. After moving to Watford from Fluminense in the summer transfer window of 2017, the 20-year-old adjusted with the rigours of Premier League pretty well as he hit the ground running.
Richarlison has scored 5 goals and has registered 4 assists in 31 appearances in the top-flight and has been a key attacking player for the side.
A pretty good dribbler, Richarlison has stretched play and has combined well with the rest of the attackers. He has been accused of being too selfish at times but for his age, he can be forgiven for that. If Watford are to finish higher in the table, the Brazilian needs to finish just how he started a few months back.
#1 Sebastian Prodl
Watford have leaked a total of 8 goals in their last 2 league encounters and even though they played against two top sides, namely, Liverpool and Arsenal, they need to show more quality and consistency.
Sebastian Prodl, who has featured regularly in the recent games, will be one of the prime figures for his club in the coming weeks. The Austrian is an experienced campaigner and should use his know-how to inject resilience at the back.
Prodl might not be a dazzling player but he has the calibre to marshal the back line.
