Premier League giants Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are all interested in the services of Watford’s Richarlison. The Brazilian Under-20 international has been one of the most impressive newcomers in the Premier League this season, scoring five goals and providing five assists so far.
Since his move to Vicarage Road from Fluminense for £11.5million last summer, the Watford starlet has been oozing with class, and his blistering performances have attracted the interest of some of Premier League’s top clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham.
Chelsea, in particular, have been hugely linked with a potential summer move for the Brazilian sensation but could face stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur, as per reports.
Spurs, who have recently signed PSG winger Lucas Moura, earlier this year, might see at least one of their star players caught in a transfer storm in the coming summer and will, therefore, be eager to improve their team.
The addition of Richarlison could be an ideal move for the Lilywhites, who could be in deep trouble should they lose anyone amongst Harry Kane, Dele Alli or even Christian Eriksen this summer. The Brazilian wonderkid has already shown what he is capable of, thanks to his blistering performances for Watford this season and could prove to be a smart buy for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.
In addition, Spurs have also struggled with the frequent injuries to Erik Lamela, in recent months while considering the fact that new signing Lucas Moura doesn’t actually have much exposure of playing in the Premier League, Richarlison’s addition will be a definite boost for the North London giants.
Able to play up front or on either wing, Richarlison is a versatile attacker, who can add considerable flair to the final third for Tottenham Hotspur. His sheer pace coupled with his ability to drift past opposing defenders certainly makes him a feared component in the attacking department.
Richarlison’s ability to physically challenge any defender is what makes him a unique player. The Brazilian boasts significant aerial prowess, which helps him cause havoc both inside and outside the penalty area. Furthermore, considering the fact that the Brazilian is also very good at winning the ball back for his team, Richarlison is tailor-made for Mauricio Pochettino’s tactical philosophy.
That being said, however, Watford are adamant of keeping hold of their star player next season, with club’s chief executive, Scott Duxbury already insisting that they are planning to keep the player for few more seasons.
