As per one of the latest reports by Daily Mail, Andre Ayew is likely to make a return to Swansea City from the ranks of West Ham United. The report states that the Swans have placed their second bid of £18million to prise Ayew out of the London Stadium but the Hammers are reluctant to let him leave for anything short of the £20million mark.

Swansea City were struggling in the Premier League this season before the appointment of Carlos Carvalhal but the Portuguese has managed to cultivate some sort of winning mentality back into the troops. Last night, they hosted Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium and went on to clinch a 3-1 win over them and this came after their 1-0 home win against Liverpool a week ago.

Owing to their back to back league wins, Carvalhal’s side are now out of the relegation zone for the moment, with 23 points to their name from 25 games and are placed at the 17th spot. However, they have a lot more to do ensure their safety. By bringing Ayew to their ranks, they might do themselves a massive favour as his versatility and calibre should help them in the coming months.

The 28-year-old can ply his trade from either wing, as a central attacking midfielder as well as a striker and has the requisite experience of English football under his belt. He has scored 3 goals and 2 assists in 18 games in the Premier League this season but he can certainly do a lot better. He is the kind of intelligent attacker that Swansea City need at this point of time.

Ayew offers goal from the midfield and has the tendency to find pockets of spaces on the pitch. The Ghana international pops up in the right areas and more often than not, showcases immense work-ethic. Moreover, Ayew has the ability to stretch the defence of the opposition and has the requisite talents and skills to make his presence felt at Swansea City.

Intriguingly, the report also states that David Moyes is keen to bring Ki Sung-yueng to his armoury and it is to be seen whether Sung-yueng is included in the speculated deal that sees Ayew moving to the Wales based outfit. The Irons have failed to get hold of most of their targets this month and signing the South Korean would be more of a desperate measure by the former Manchester United boss.
