Leicester City bagged a point from their trip to the Stamford Bridge earlier today as the game ended in a goalless draw. Despite Ben Chilwell’s red card, the Foxes held on to clinch a point from the game.
The draw means Leicester remained in the top eight. Let’s take a look at how the Leicester players fared in the game…
Kasper Schmeichel 7/10
Schmeichel had a decent day between the sticks and he maintained his composure throughout the game. The keeper did really well to keep out Cesc Fabregas and Alvaro Morata in the first-half and thwarted Marcos Alonso in the second half.
Daniel Amartey 7/10
It was encouraging to see Amartey galloping forward occasionally and tracking back timely from the right-back position.
Aleksandar Dragovic 6/10
Dragovic struggled to find his feet initially as he was troubled by Morata in the first-half but steadied as the game progressed.
Harry Maguire 8/10
Arguably the best player for the Foxes against the Blues, Maguire was physically very dominant, made good use of the ball and kept Morata at bay.
Ben Chilwell 5/10
Chilwell had a game to forget as his two yellow card offences didn’t do his team any favours.
Wilfred Ndidi 7.5/10
The midfielder was an excellent distributor of the ball, showcased a lot of industry and was quite resilient as well.
Matty James 7.5/10
James linked up well with Ndidi, was combative in the middle and read the game well.
Riyad Mahrez 7.5/10
It is always exciting to watch the Algerian perform. The Algerian threatened Chelsea’s backline most of the times when he rushed forward, but lack the output today.
Shinji Okazaki 7/10
It was a complete performance by Okazaki who ran tirelessly and contributed to the defensive needs of his side more often than not.
Marc Albrighton 7/10
The winger injected plenty of pace and desire from the left-wing area and drove the attacking endeavours single-handedly on many occasions down the left.
Jamie Vardy 7/10
The Englishman might not have been clinical but his pace always kept the Chelsea defenders wary.
Substitutions
Christian Fuchs 6/10
He replaced Okazaki in the second half and added more solidity.
Demarai Gray 5.5/10
Gray replaced Vardy in the second half, but he couldn’t have a substantial impact.
Vicente Iborra N.A
The Spaniard replaced James in the dying minutes of the game.
