Everton Agree £25m Fee For Turkish Sensation: How Will They Line Up With Him? 2

Sam Allardyce has done a splendid job at the Goodison Park, helping the Everton side to the 8th place in the points table, after a disastrous start to the season under Ronald Koeman. The lack of an adequate replacement for Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer window has cost the club big time but Allardyce has now taken his first step in rectifying the situation.

Reports today revealed that Everton have agreed on a £25m deal to sign in-form Turkish star Cenk Tosun, who was wanted by a host of clubs in England and Europe. The former Besiktas man has 8 goals and an assist in the Turkish League this season and will look to bring that form into the start of his career at the Goodison Park.

So how will Allardyce’s men lineup with Tosun in the attack? He will surely be the first choice striker but who will aid him for the rest of the season? Here is Everton’s strongest lineup, with their new signing on the field:

Defence:

English star, Jordan Pickford, has been decent for Everton and is the first choice for the manager, in goal, along with Ashley Williams, who will be the senior CB at the club for this season. Michael Keane has lost his first-team spot at the club under the new manager and Mason Holgate has been exceptional. There is no reason for the manager to tinker with this CB partnership right now.

Leighton Baines might not be back from an injury anytime soon which should see Cuco Martina continue at left back while Jonjoe Kenny has not done any damage to his reputation at right back.

Midfield:

Easily Everton’s most consistent player this season in the midfield, Idrissa Gueye, should be partnered with Morgan Schneiderlin, who though currently not in form, is the best option for Allardyce.

Attack:

Everton’s record signing Gylfi Sigurdsson has not kicked off his career at Goodison Park but having a player like Tosun leading the line might get the best out of him yet. He should start on the left flank while Aaron Lennon, who has been given a new lease of life by the new manager, might continue to start on the right flank.

Davy Klaassen, Nikola Vlasic, Kevin Mirallas and Yannick Bolasie could all compete for Lennon’s role for the rest of the season. Veteran star Wayne Rooney should start as a support striker for Tosun, who is expected to lead the line on a regular basis for the Toffees. Here is how they might line up:

What do you think is the best lineup Allardyce can field after his new signing?
