West Ham United Vs Everton: Preview, Team News, Predicted Line-ups, Prediction And Odds

Preview

In the last game for both the sides this season, West Ham United host Everton at the London Stadium. It has certainly been an underwhelming season for the Hammers as well as for the Toffees who should have achieved much more owing to the resources they have at their disposal.

David Moyes’ side are placed at the 15th spot in the league table, having garnered merely 39 points. West Ham United flirted dangerously with the relegation zone during the second-half of the season but their recent upturn in form secured their survival in the English top division beyond the ongoing season.

On the other hand, Everton made some staggering signings in the summer transfer window and a finish inside the top-six berths, or a fierce competition for the same, was expected from them. However, Sam Allardyce’s men flattered to deceive and huffed and puffed to the 8th spot in the Premier League standings with 49 points to their name.

Both the managers face their former employers with their futures unclear once again. There is a huge possibility that both of them would be shown the door at the end of the season. Nonetheless, these two clubs should leave no stone unturned to finish their season on a high.

West Ham United Team News

There are question marks over the availability of James Collins and Javier Hernandez as they are nursing hamstring and knee injury, respectively. Meanwhile, Sam Byram, Michail Antonio and Winston Reid are ruled out of the fixture.

Everton Team News

Wayne Rooney and Theo Walcott are doubtful for the fixture owing to their knee and calf injuries, respectively. Gylfi Sigurdsson is sidelined with a knee injury whereas Dominic Calvert-Lewin is suffering from a back injury.

The injury concerns for Allardyce’s side don’t end here as Eliaquim Mangala is nursing a knee injury whereas James McCarthy and Maarten Stekelenburg are sidelined due to leg and groin problems, respectively.
