Predicted Huddersfield Town lineup vs Swansea City: Mooy to return?

After a defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, Huddersfield will face a resurgent Swansea City as the stakes will be high for the fortunes of both the clubs in the lower half of the table. Avoiding relegation is of paramount importance and with just goal difference separating both the sides, the hosts really need a win to ease their fear of getting the drop.

Team News

Aaron Mooy is back after a knee injury and could make the bench if not start.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Defence

Jonas Lossl has started every single game in the Premier League this season and has been pretty good for his side. His shot-stopping has been decent and there is no need to replace him in the lineup.

Florent Hadergjonaj will play as the right-back and will look to exploit the wing with his quick feet, and the ability to put in decent deliveries into the box. Terence Kongolo will add a more physical demeanour to the left flank.

Christopher Schindler and Mathias Jorgensen could start at the heart of the defence. Both of them are physically imposing and have been trusted to thwart off attacks from deep down in the field.

Midfield

Jonathan Hogg and Danny Williams will be the two defensive midfielders in this formation. As most of the clubs in the bottom half of the table, these two midfielders are usually deployed the role of breaking attacks rather than initiating them. Hogg is a good winner of the ball and forms a rigid and unbreakable formation with Williams.

Attack

Rajiv van La Parra has been a sensation from the left wing as his pace, skills on the ball and the tendency to cut in from the flank and create chances have been beneficial for Huddersfield. Collin Quaner will be playing from the right flank and will try to add more width to attack with his raw pace. Both these wingers are quick on the feet and look to add better offensive threat but could do much better on the goal-scoring front.

Alex Pritchard will play as the central attacking midfielder, will look to drop deep, and then would initiate attacks with his impressive passing and interlinking. The impressive Steven Mounie will play as the sole striker in this formation. The forward is a strong header of the ball and hence Huddersfield look to play according to his strengths by going more direct in their approach.
