3-5-2 Predicted Swansea City Lineup Vs Huddersfield Town: Ayew Brothers To Lead The Line

Carlos Carvalhal’s Swansea City are slowly finding some rhythm as they showed last weekend, with a 4-1 victory over West Ham United at home. They are well out of the drop zone and have lost just one game in their last six in all competitions and will look to continue their form when they travel to Kirklees Stadium to face David Wagner’s Terriers this weekend.

Huddersfield Town, who are level on points with Swansea City, may have lost to United last weekend but beat West Brom and Bournemouth before that and will look to draw some inspiration from those games. The Swans can move up to 12th with a win in this game and here is the predicted lineup they might field for this tie:

Team News

In early team news, Swansea have no new injury issues to worry about ahead of this game. They are without Leroy Fer, Wilfried Bony, Renato Sanches and Angel Rangel for this game, all of who are long-term absentees.

Expected lineup (3-5-2)

Defence

Carvalhal has stuck with Lukasz Fabianski as the first choice under the bar and the Pole should keep his place in this side for the weekend. The manager has also been able to depend on a single backline for most of the recent games and has no reason to tinker with it for this game.

Alfie Mawson and Mike van der Hoorn have done well on either side of Federico Fernandez and the trio will hope to put in a solid performance against the Terriers.

Midfield

Ki Sung-Yeung was one of the best players for Swansea in the win against West Ham and should start at the heart of the midfield once again. He was supported well by Sam Clucas, who should also start this game and could be partnered with Andy King, who also had a productive outing against the Hammers.

Like his backline, Carvalhal has also been able to field Kyle Naughton and Martin Olsson on either flank in the midfield and should stick with them for this trip to Kirklees.

Attack

Swansea played some fantastic football at Liberty last week and most of it was through the Ayew siblings in the attack. Both Jordan Ayew and Andre Ayew started that game and added a balance to their attack, which Swansea will look to retain for this game as well, keeping the 3-5-2 system intact.

Here is how they might line up:
