Why It Is A Brilliant Move From Tottenham Hotspur To Offer This Star A New Deal

Harry Kane has been offered a new deal by Tottenham Hotspur according to Metro which will earn the 22-year-old a weekly wage of £100,000. Metro claims that Spurs are very much aware of the interest in Harry Kane from bigger and richer clubs especially Manchester United and they are looking to fend off any interest in the English international by offering him a new and improved contract.

‘One of our own’- not many clubs can boast this about their best players nowadays with money ruling the football world. However, Spurs fans are exceptions and every time Harry Kane sets the pitch on fire they get the opportunity to boast about the player coming through their very own academy.

It will be a massive statement of intent from Spurs if they can tie the prolific goalscorer down with a new contract. Kane started impressing in the closing stages of 2013-14 season when the likes of Defoe and Adebayor were struggling at White Hart Lane. However, after the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino, Kane never had to look back and has now reached the 20-goal-mark for back to back two seasons which is impressive for a player who is just 22.

Harry Kane finished the last season with the Premier League Golden Boot and proved his doubters wrong who used to claim that the Englishman was just a one-season wonder (The editor of The 4th Official being one of them. Side note he is an Arsenal fan). Kane is right now one of the very best players in the Premier League and losing him would have been a massive step backward for the North London side.

The North London club are rich with ambition and the club is really progressing well. To be fair, they have improved beyond expectations in just two seasons under Pochettino. The Argentine manager has been able to bring Champions League football to the club in such a short time, something the Lilywhites were missing for a very long time.

Yes, Spurs fell short in their Premier League bid this season to Leicester City. A poor finishing to the season made them lose the second spot to arch rivals Arsenal as well. But no one expected them to challenge for the title this season in the first place. Spurs fans have every right to be optimistic about their glorious future. Spurs will start the next season as one of the frontrunners for the title and losing any of their key players would damage their chances.

Harry Kane is one of the key players at the club if not the most important player. The 22-year-old can improve further next season if offered a helping hand in the attack, which he did not have this season. Spurs have to tie the English international down with a new contract at any cost.

Infact, READ MY LIPS. A new contract AT ANY COST.
